RDA group’s successful Ashington Festival day

Thanks to the dedication, planning and hard work from Denise Lee and her husband  Alan, Long Furlong RDA group had another successful day at The Ashington Festival.

Much to the group’s relief the weather stayed dry and  its bottle tombola attracted the usual queue for tickets.

Many thanks to volunteers, riders, families and friends for donating the lovely selection of bottles, everything from champagne to shampoo.

One of the group’s volunteers, Val spent hours filling and decorating 117 Jolly Jam Jars for the children. All the jars were sold and not one child was disappointed.

The committee of LFRDA would like to thank all volunteers and their partners for their generosity, good humour and hard work, the willingness of the public to part with their cash and the organisers of the festival for allowing charities to take part without payment.

The excellent total of £668.00 was raised, which is so very necessary to allow the group to continue offer therapeutic riding to disabled adults.

A heartfelt big thank you to all involved.
