Toffee is now full-time RDA pony

South Downs Riding for the Disabled group is proud to announce that Toffee is now a full-time member of their team.

Having worked with him for almost a year they know what a first class RDA pony he is -and when they heard that his owners wanted to sell him, they could not bear to lose him, and had to take action.

They are now drawing up a plan of action to fund his keep and as they currently only use him one day per week, think it would be ideal for someone else to benefit from his wonderful temperament and nature through a loan arrangement.

Toffee is an adorable Connemara pony of 14.2 hh, with a gentle and kind nature who would be ideal for gentle hacking or as a starter pony, working from Albourne Equestrian Centre where he is currently homed.

If anyone is interested in such an arrangement or would like to sponsor him, please contact the group at: info@southdownsrda.org, to discuss, or take a look at their website: www.southdownsrda.org.

South Downs RDA group is based at Albourne Equestrian Centre, Melrose Farm, Albourne near Hassocks, West Sussex.

Its volunteers, horses and ponies provide therapy, achievement and enjoyment to people with disabilities of all ages and from all backgrounds. They hope to create a sense of increased confidence and above all, a feeling of having a good time. The benefits of riding are plain to see from the faces of the riders.

The group is one of the longest established in the country and is totally reliant on the wonderful volunteers who are the backbone of the team.

They are also a completely self-financing charity and therefore have to constantly work hard at raising funds.
