It may be the off-season but the All England Jumping Course at Hickstead is not resting in its laurels. It is currently very busy with an exciting new project, which will be revealed in its next E news.
Meanwhile Hickstead Box Office will open at the beginning of December, with plenty of time to place orders before Christmas.
Hickstead has congratulated all the winners of the recent Horse&Hound Awards, particularly Captain Mark Phillips who took the Lifetime Achievement Award.
Hickstead said: “We were hoping William Funnell would pick up the Griffin Nuu Med moment of the year for his spectacular Al Shira’aa Derby win, but in the end it was Tim and Jonelle Price who took the honours following their Badminton and Burghley victories.”
Hickstead has sent warm congratulations to Harriet Nuttall, who married jockey Will Biddick recently. Harriet has an amazing record at Hickstead, including three second placings in the Al Shira’aa Derby, plus wins in the Bunn Leisure Speed Derby and The British Horse Society Queen Elizabeth II Cup.
While Hickstead is proud to host the British leg of the Longines FEI Jumping Nations Cup™ series, during the winter months attention turns to the indoor circuit and the Longines FEI World Cup™.
Switzerland’s Martin Fuchs currently leads the standings after a stunning win in Lyon last weekend, with France’s Kevin Staut and Swiss rider Steve Guerdat hot on his heels.
