Lamar could have three finals options

When filly Lamar won the £19,000 totepool Fillies’ Conditions Stakes in game fashion at Chelmsford City this week she delighted trainer JamesTate by having found form again.

The four-year-old Cape Cross offspring had not won since June of last year unti she captured a conditions event over an extended nine furlongs at Wolverhampton on January 16 with Luke Morris on board.

She went one better with the same jockey this week at  Chelmsford when winning the stakes- was also a Fast-Track Qualifier for the £150,000 Fillies’ And Mares’ Championships over seven furlongs at Lingfield Park on Good Friday, although Lamar could challenge for other races on All-Weather Championships Finals Day.

The Newmarket handler said: “She had not won, since breaking her maiden, until last week and two wins in two weeks is really nice.
